Apparently the record stands at 48:1:10 and was achieved by PONEY (Japan), in Koto, Tokyo, Japan from 22-24 April 2023.
Zedmonk will, therefore, attempt to break this record by going for 55 hours nonstop. However, his target is 80 hours. He revealed that he has been given a 5 minute break every one hour he raps.
One of the youngest rappers on the Ugandan hip-hop scene, Zedmonk is also the CEO of TRT Entertainment Africa. His attempt is set to begin on the 3rd of May until 5th May.
It was here that the Uganda Musicians Association organized a press conference to express their support towards him.
UMA’s secretary General Phina Mugerwa flanked by King Saha prayed and wished the best towards the rapper. Phina said that they are amazed by this rapper for trying to do what nobody has ever attempted to do.
“We are surprised and amazed by what this boy is trying to do. Attempting to achieve this record is truly breathtaking,” she said.
Saha on the other hand called upon everyone to come and support the young rapper in trying to break this record and set a new one. On the other hand, Zedmonk on said that he and his team sat down last year and submitted their application for the record in December.
He also told all his competitors that want to come through to be good at freestyle. This is because anyone who can’t freestyle won’t survive him.
