UMA President Cindy Comments About Eddy Yawe’s Sexual Allegations

The president of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) Cinderella Sanyu aka Cindy Baibe has come out to comment about the sexual harassment allegations labeled onto veteran singer Eddy Yawe.

It should be recalled that an upcoming singer known as Sumaya Sheebah based in Denmark last week accused Yawe of sexual harassment.

The singer said that she did a song with the veteran singer. She also told of how she footed all the costs of the song including transporting Yawe to Copenhagen for the video shoot.

Yawe however instead did the song with another upcoming singer known as TYBA. Sumaya revealed that the reason Yawe an older brother to Bobi Wine did this was because she refused to sleep with him.

However, according to Cindy, she doubts all these allegations as Sumaya never presented a contract between her and the Neteze singer.

The Boom Party singer wondered how one can foot all the costs of a song and fail to sign an agreement with the person they are working with.

She added that women in the music industry should know that men will always try to hit on them. That’s a fact that won’t go away but they should make sure they are professional enough.

“Ladies in the music industry have to know that as a beautiful woman in the industry such temptations will always be there. Men are bound to hit on you always. And you can’t take someone to Police because they tried to woo you. However, make sure that if you’re going to work with someone, you put your work in writing. For now, Yawe has all the rights to do whatever he wishes with the song,” said Cindy.

It’s not only Sumaya Sheebah that has come out to accuse the Dream Studios proprietor of sexual harassment. Another female singer in Martha Mukisa also accused him of over-begging to sleep with her.

This was during the shoot of their Neteze video. This saw disagreements break out between the parties which saw Yawe strip Martha Mukisa of any right to the song.
