UMSC Delegates Advocate For Restricting Mubajje’s Involvement In Official Functions

In a display of dissatisfaction and concern, delegates representing the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council ( UMSC ) have united in their call to restrict Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje, the incumbent UMSC Supreme Mufti, from participating in official functions.

This collective decision has emerged due to mounting discontent within the council regarding Mubajje’s leadership and various allegations of misconduct.

During an intense session held at the UMSC headquarters, delegates expressed their deep concerns over the current state of affairs under Mubajje’s leadership. They highlighted the need for immediate action to address the growing unrest and restore faith in the council’s integrity.

One delegate, who chose to remain anonymous, emphasized the importance of upholding the principles of transparency and accountability within the UMSC. They stated,

“It is our duty to ensure that those entrusted with positions of authority adhere to the highest standards of conduct. We cannot allow any compromise in our commitment to serving the Muslim community and the nation as a whole.”

The delegates pointed out several instances where they believe Mubajje’s actions have raised serious questions about his suitability for representing the UMSC in official capacities.

The council also wants to safeguard it’s credibility

Furthermore, concerns were raised about his alleged involvement in financial improprieties, which have tarnished the council’s reputation.

In response to these concerns, the UMSC delegates are advocating for a resolution that will temporarily restrict Mubajje’s involvement in official functions until a thorough investigation can be conducted.

This measure aims to ensure a fair and impartial assessment of the allegations made against him, while also safeguarding the council’s credibility.

As the news of this call for action reverberates within the Muslim community, it is important to note that UMSC remains committed to its primary goal of promoting unity, peace, and justice.

The council recognizes the significance of this challenging period and is determined to address the concerns raised by its delegates in a transparent and just manner.

The recent decision by UMSC delegates to restrict Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje’s participation in official functions reflects a growing discontent within the council. This measure aims to address concerns regarding his leadership and alleged misconduct.

As the UMSC community awaits the outcome of the proposed investigation, it is a crucial time for reflection and unity within the Muslim community of Uganda.
