The non government organisation called Uganda Media Women Association (UMWA), which basically deals at fighting for the rights and peace towards women news anchors. During this week, this organisation (UMWA) disclosed their points regarding the massive unjust treatment of male journalists in Uganda.

According to UMWA Media officer Joanita Nankya, she explained while expressing more light about the high singling of male journalists in their professional line of their duties by state and none state actors. She regarded this as something that has been caused by the fact that female anchors are not allocated by their editors to also participate in specific fields.
(UMWA) condemns mistreatment to male journalists.
She said all this while addressing journalists at (UMWA) head office, which is staged at Mama FM ,Kisaasi found in Kampala.
To add-on, she clearly hinted about the need for media owners, Editors to view the use of gender inclusiveness and respect of journalists because they too deserve respect in their own sector.
