The country had recently hit the 10 million mark and on Sunday, just a week after, they reported coronavirus cases had surpassed 11 million.
The number of deaths related to Covid-19 is now standing at over 245,000 deceased in United States.
Some states like Michigan and Washington are reemploying some of the strictest regulations that were in place during spring. A member of the White House coronavirus task force said the only way to stop the virus is if people rise up together.
In Missouri, over two dozen poll workers contracted the virus. But according to the rate of the spread, it is hard to say if Election Day is to be blamed for the poll workers.
The worsening crisis has caused leaders to take on new measures to curb the spread. Bars, restaurants, and events venues will have to cut on the capacity and more people might have to stay at home. Most after-school activities would be put on hold.
Starting Saturday, wearing a face mask inside businesses, indoors in public spaces, and outdoors will be compulsory.
This will happen if social distancing can’t be maintained but a violation of this will lead to the payment of fines of up to $1000.
