The Uganda People’s Defence Forces ( UPDF ) has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative to enlist over 1,600 individuals with specialized scientific skills, aiming to fortify the military’s technical
Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye, the Defence and Military spokesperson, revealed that the recruitment campaign will focus on applicants under the age of 28 who hold at least one principal pass in a science subject at the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) level.
Moreover, candidates possessing diplomas or degrees in science-related fields are also encouraged to apply.

Gen Kulayigye emphasized that the recruitment process will span 14 days and cover various regions of Uganda, ensuring a diverse and capable pool of candidates.
