Since last year in October, more than 50 people have been murdered in about twenty attacks in a province called Cabo Delgado which is located at the Tanzanian border.
Fears are rising that the violence and the atrocities in the region might hinder the utilization of the remaining valuable resource of Mozambique and yet this is the remaining hope for fighting poverty in the country.
The allegedly group responsible for the violent attacks call themselves ‘’Ahlu Sunnah Wa-Jama’’ always called Al-Sunnah , the local people nicknamed them Al-Shabaab, even though this group might not be connected with the commonly known Al-Shabaab of Somalia.
Al-Sunnah attacks in Cabo Delgrado begun at a lower lever, but they started threatening in May 2018 when the Jihadists killed ten civilians, many of them were murdered and several homes were burnt in Monjane in Macomia district.
