Vipers SC will be aiming to reclaim the top spot when they host BUL FC later today at Kitende under the 7pm floodlights. The hosts come into the game two points behind NEC who overcame Soltilo Bright Stars on Wednesday. They understand that only victory will take them back to the summit.
Last season, the two fixtures against BUL ended in defeat for the Venoms. This costs them a chance to defend their crown for a historic third time in a row. Six-time champions are in a buoyant mood after going over ten matches undefeated since tasting a loss on match day one to NEC at Lugogo.
It is a different scenario for BUL who put up a strong challenge last season and only lost the title on the final day. Abbey Kikomeko’s men have performed abysmally in the last four matches. They failed to win any games despite suffering only one defeat.
They are now in the 11th position with 14 points, closer to the drop zone than the top at this time of the season. However, a rare victory over Vipers SC at Kitende could see them rise to 6th place.
Matchday twelve will conclude on Sunday when KCCA pays a visit to struggling Wakiso Giants. This will take place at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso.
The other day 12 fixture for Sunday December 15, 2024, includes Wakiso Giants vs KCCA at Wakissha 4pm.
