Watch Out For Politicians Who Are Bent On Securing Their Own Positions – Bobi Wine

The leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has rallied his supporters to be on the lookout. This is especially for politicians who are in the Opposition but all they care about is securing their positions.

The former Kyadondo East MP said that just as he stated in 2018, there are some opportunistic politicians, time is telling the truth.  Kyagulanyi said that they do not care about unseating Museveni as long as their positions are secured.

“As I said in 2018, “Some people in the opposition are only concerned about their positions in the opposition. They will fight any composition that threatens their positions in the opposition.” They’re zero concerned about removing Museveni as long as they’re comfortable in the opposition. WATCH THEM!”

His remarks come a day after the Democratic Party lawmaker from Mityana South; Richard Lumu got a green light from the Speaker of Parliament, Hon Anita Among to move ahead with the Administrator’s Bill. This bill seeks MPs in the Opposition to vote for their own leader of Opposition rather than having them appointed by the party with the biggest MPs in Parliament.

While at the Parliamentary regional sitting in Gulu, Lumu questioned why the LOP was just appointed. This followed the current LOP Hon Joel Ssenyonyi’s refusal to attend the sitting in Gulu. He called it as a waste of taxpayer’s money.

However, some MPs from NUP and other Opposition parties attended this sitting. It has brought about sentiments among the MPs and the General Public.
