We Are Not Traversing The Country Because Of Gen Muhoozi – NUP On Countrywide Tour

The MP for Mawogola County South, Hon Namugga Gorreth has denied her party, the National Unity Platform (NUP) starting a countrywide tour because Muhoozi started one.

It should be recalled that Bobi Wine and NUP announced a nationwide tour. Many have been guessing that the party is doing this to counter Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba who already seems to have his presidential campaign trail on the go.

For the past few months, the first son has been setting himself up and getting acquainted with Ugandans from different parts of the country.

According to Namugga, their tour is not aimed at campaigning. It’s rather aimed at demanding accountability and raising awareness.

“It’s not true that NUP has started its nationwide tour because Muhoozi is also moving around the country. We are moving around the country to remind Ugandans to demand accountability,” she said.

Meanwhile, the party is set to launch its offices today in Mbarara at Makhan Singh Street. Bobi Wine will first have a radio show to address people on Endigyito FM.

Later on, he’s expected to address a mass gathering at Global High School playground. This campaign has been dubbed “Wake Up Uganda.”
