He has therefore urged the people of greater Masaka to have hope in them because they are going to bring down all the criminals behind the killings.
Currently, the AIGP is in Masaka. This is part of his rectification and ideological orientation tour in the region. He met with teams of senior officers from Kalungu district and other areas.
Apparently, the police is also using the community policing approach to talk to the police officers.
“The intelligence is on ground. Operations are going well. The police is also using the community policing approach to talk to the police officers and the public to mobilise them so that they are the first line of defence and protection against the criminals,” Kasingye Said.
Asan Kasingye pointed out that much as politicians are accusing the police of doing nothing, they won’t talk much.
“Politicians have been saying the police is doing nothing. The public deserves an explanation. We are not going to be talking much about our operations, but we need the public to know that we are doing something. I want the people of Masaka to know that this will end, and those involved in killing people will all be caught, and they will face the law,” he said.
Meanwhile, Asan Kasingye says that the investigators are doing a good job and 11 people have so far appeared in court.
They will process more case files will be processed to face court so he called for increased trust. He has encouraged media and the public not to speak fear among the Masaka people but rather to instill hope.
