He said people should observe and watch how they are going to make electoral reforms as we approach 2026. Apparently, they passed the age limit bill as the country was approaching the 2021 elections.
“As long as you have an election with President Museveni, it can’t be free and fair. What you are going to see between now and 2026 are efforts to amend electoral laws and the Constitution in favor of the incumbent.”
However, he says Kenya has taught other countries that dignified elections are possible in Africa.
“My biggest lesson from the Kenya election for Uganda and all countries in the community is that you can have an election that’s dignified, an election where people are not killed.”
“What the Kenya election has taught us is, we still have a long way to go in managing the digital and analog systems. We have to congratulate the IEBC for having brought in the physical forms as well to ensure trust in the electoral process,” he added.
Godber Tumushabe however says he expects that whoever doesn’t win in the Kenya elections will concede defeat for the citizen’s sake. He believes peace is still going to reign even after the announcement.
UPC spokesperson says their enemy is not Museveni

“That [Museveni] is not our enemy and you should know the values of UPC. UPC’s enemies are poverty, ignorance and disease, so we fight poverty, ignorance and disease from Uganda.
