Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has said they are not going to rest until they get Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana’s unconditional release from prison. The NUP leader said this after paying a visit to them in Kigo Prison.
He ran to his social media platforms to give accountability to his followers. He was escorted by NUP Secretary-General, David Lewis Rubongoya and Spokesperson Joel Senyonyi.
“…we went to Kigo Government prison to check on our detained MPs, Ssegirinya Muhammad and Allan Ssewanyana. Found them in high spirits although sickly and frail after they were violently arrested and tortured. We continue to demand for their unconditional release,” He wrote
NUP supporters flooded his post with comments of pride for their party president. According to them, this shows they are still in the struggle to apparently rescue the country.
Some fans were encouraged after seeing this because word was starting to go around that Bobi had neglected his comrades.
“Thank you H.E. The junta is brutalizing innocent Ugandans and as if that is not enough, he wants to legally legalize illegality by denying our sons the right to bail; But God is on our side. I won’t stop Praying Until Something Happens (PUSH) – M7 MUST GO!!!!,” a one PN. Prosie wrote.
Members Of Parliament, Ssewanyana and Ssegirinya are currently battling murder cases.
Unfortunately, they were denied bail because the president said murder suspects should be denied bail until proven innocent by court.
This simply means until they declare them innocent, they will not smell freedom from chains.
