Legal Battle Unfolds: Weasel Manizo Faces Charges For Promoter Assault

In a dramatic turn of events, Ugandan musician Weasel Manizo finds himself embroiled in a legal dispute after being caught on camera assaulting promoter Norbert Twizire in a highly publicized altercation.

The Uganda National Promoters Federation made a resounding announcement, declaring their intention to pursue legal recourse against the renowned Goodlyfe singer for his aggressive actions towards Twizire, the respected proprietor of Nobat Events.

As the controversy escalates, voices from the promoters’ federation express shock and dismay at Weasel’s behavior, questioning the musician’s audacity to resort to violence without considering the repercussions of his actions, especially in light of their shared history and professional relationship.

Amidst the brewing legal storm, Weasel defends himself against the allegations of assault by accusing Twizire of withholding payment for their joint venture, the “Memories of Goodlyfe” event held at Hotel Africana.

The musician claims that despite repeated attempts to resolve the financial dispute, Twizire has remained unresponsive and has failed to honor their agreement.

Twizire’s side of the payment dispute

In a detailed rebuttal, Twizire provides a comprehensive account of the financial transactions between himself, Weasel Manizo, and the singer’s wife and manager, Sandra Teta.

The promoter asserts that the agreed terms entailed a specific payment structure, which allegedly was not fully adhered to by Weasel’s team, resulting in a significant monetary imbalance and mutual dissatisfaction.

Amidst the conflicting narratives and mounting tensions, Twizire accuses Weasel Manizo of attempting to manipulate public perception through his accusations while also casting aspersions on the musician’s conduct during their attempts at mediation, citing claims of substance abuse and disruptive behavior as contributing factors to the escalating conflict.
