The surviving member of the Radio and Weasel duo, Weasel Manizo has opened up on why he beat up events promoter Nobat Events. A video surfaced last night on different social media platforms showing the promoter in tears.
This was after an altercation with the singer that turned violent. Weasel can be seen violently smacking Nobat in this video.
Apparently, everyone has been criticizing Weasel since he and the Mayanja family have a history of violence.
The singer has now come out to provide his side of the story. This is largely due to monetary reasons, especially due to the recent Memories of Goodlyf concert.
Nobat staged this concert for Weasel at Hotel Africana early this month. It was a sold-out show and the two seemed to have developed some sort of bromance.
The Goodlfy singer however claims that he’s yet to be paid. Weasel said that despite his attempts to reach out to the promoter for payment, he’s remained silent on the matter. Besides, Nobat insulted the singer which added injury to the wound.
Read his statement below;
“We’re thrilled to share that our concert at Hotel Africana two weeks ago was a huge success! However, we’re disappointed to announce that the event organizer, Mr. Nobat, has yet to pay us for our performance. Despite numerous attempts to reach out to him, our efforts have been met with silence. It’s unacceptable that we’ve been left unpaid for our work. To make matters worse, Mr. Nobat provoked me today, adding insult to injury,” Weasel’s Facebook post partly read.
Additionally, Weasel said that even if it means being bold and assertive, he will stand for what is rightfully his. He can’t accept to be exploited. He’s so ready to face any consequences for his actions even if it means legal means.
