If you want to confirm this, you can visit social media. You will find especially the young people posting something irrelevant on a very sensitive topic. For example, there is nothing that can justify someone celebrating because another has lost their life.
Recently, Gen. Katumba Wamala survived an assassination, some people without empathy just swept it under the mat. They gave reasons like he is part of the government.
Does this mean when your opinion differs from the other’s opinion they deserve to die? What happened to constructive debate without causing damage or wishing it? It is in this generation you find someone updating status praying for someone to rest in peace and on the same status seconds after, you find a funny meme. Is that really empathy?
Just imagine, if this generation is behaving like this what will happen to the next generation. Why? This is because it is this generation that will teach the coming generation the same. Something should be done, whatever is wrong must be on the inside. Whatever solution there is to this must start from the inside if this is going to change.
