Comparing yourself to another just to prove a point is disastrous and can also be really stressful. Not to anyone else but to you. This is because you are trying to prove a point that you are better. Many times this is not even the point, it’s not about who is better, it’s just about everyone doing what they should be doing. Do you know what you are supposed to be doing? Do you even know your purpose?
If at all, you can draw a line between what you want and what you need, then you won’t compete. Unhealthy competition brings about dissatisfaction with what you already have. Unfortunately, people who involve themselves in this deep competition, end up losing what they even have in their hands. They feel like they need more, which is not bad, but not at the expense of what you already have.
You can’t imagine the number of people who have lost their esteem because they feel they are not enough. They think they are not good enough for what they have or want. Actually, deep competition is an indication that there is a problem with your self-esteem. Everyone has space everywhere if they can only identify it. Unhealthy competition is basically untamed jealousy.
