Kawempe north MP, Hon Muhammad Ssegirinya has come out to question why the famous Guinness Book of Records hasn’t yet inducted him into their records.
The MP believes that he’s done tremendous work for his constituency which should be recognized and honored.
Appearing on NBS TV’s Eagle program, the MP bragged about his massive achievements in a very short time frame. Apparently, the comical MP believes that his achievements guarantee him a spot in the records which is long overdue.
“I am the only Member of Parliament in Uganda who had a 5-year manifesto but executed all of it in 2 months. I am still surprised that The Guinness World Records hasn’t acknowledged this achievement,” he said.
The MP who also spent close to two years behind bars with fellow MP Allan Ssewanyana seems like he’s yet to forget what he went through.
Ssegirinya thanked everyone that helped him to come out. However, he added that he will never forget the time in prison.
“I want to thank the Almighty God, my friends, the media, and my fellow MPs who fought tirelessly and prayed to see me through. Even though I am out now, I don’t think I will ever forget the two years I spent in prison.”
In regard to his work, the NUP affiliated MP has really won a lot of plaudits. This is for being the ‘common ordinary’ MP or the people’s leader.
He has always made sure to leave behind the roles of an MP which is all about legislation to serving.
Ssegirinya has on several occasions been seen running to the help of his people with foodstuffs. Not forgetting that he recently purchased a second ambulance for them.
Among those impressed is NBS TV news anchor Samson Kasumba. According to him, it will be nearly impossible to unseat Ssegirinya come 2026. He doesn’t even need any political party to win the election massively according to the journalist.
