Why You Need To Get Love Before You Get Married

People are so desperate to get married or marry to the point that they don’t care if they love their partner. They just don’t understand the grave impact of this on marriage. It is so easy for marriage to fail when the two parties don’t share a bond of love. This puts you in a place of fighting for nothing when trouble comes.

The basis of every marriage must be love before anything else. Yes, there are a lot of reasons you should look at before getting married to someone. There is character, maturity, compatibility among others. However, love weighs above all this because it is what brings about patience when someone is lacking some where.

Just imagine every day waking up beside someone you have no emotional attachment to. Do you even know the trauma you will go through when you realize they are not even what you expected? This can be the beginning of cheating in marriage. You will start looking for what you desire in someone else. Obviously sometimes, people cheat on those they love too, but it doesn’t come easy.

Ask yourself these questions before you get married.

Do I love my spouse?

Will I handle his/her weaknesses?

Do I see a future with them?

Are we really compatible?

You can clearly answer these after some time of dating. Let me also caution you that just because you love someone doesn’t mean you should marry or get married to them. It’s a whole package, just don’t go with half of it.
