Pastor Wilson Bugembe has revealed that he misses his longtime friend, singer, and now-turned-politician, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine. This was as he celebrated his 40th birthday.
Bugembe revealed that back in the day, Bobi Wine even used to check and surprise him during his birthdays.
The pastor also revealed that he celebrates the same birthday as the NUP president’s firstborn son, Solomon Kampala. However, politics put them in positions where they can no longer interact freely.
According to the pastor and singer, he welcomes all people from different political factions. Therefore, he doesn’t want to posture as if he belongs to NUP and alienate his worshippers who don’t side with NUP politically.
He also doesn’t want to do the vice versa with NUP supporters. Nonetheless, he misses his friend and he even once told him when they met at the late Kato Lubwama’s funeral.
“I miss Bobi Wine because he is my good old friend. I remember one of my birthdays when I was still living in Kiwatule, he came and surprised me, sang for me and it was all love. His son Solomon and I share the same birthday. However, politics puts you in a difficult position where you can’t interact freely. Especially for me as I don’t want to alienate any of my followers.”
Bugembe also went ahead to congratulate Bobi Wine upon his graduation from Cavendish University. The former MP graduated with a Law Bachelor’s Degree yesterday.
Meanwhile, the Pastor celebrated his 40th birthday yesterday and carried out charity. He said that he’s the longest-living person from his father’s household. He also added that he thought he would be married by 40 but this is yet to happen.
