Former senate staffer Tara Reade made these accusations in 2020 while Biden was seeking for a Democratic nomination for the president’s post.
However in her interview with the Russian state media on Tuesday, Reade said she felt at home in Moscow after fleeing from United States.
”When I got off from the plane in Moscow, I felt safe and respected,” said Reade while addressing Sputnik news.
Meanwhile during her interview, she requested Russian President Vladimir Putin to grant her citizenship although she said she will retain her American citizenship as well.
“ I ‘d like to apply for citizenship in Russia from the president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. I do promise to be a good citizen.”
Reade said she was pushed against the wall
Notably following the run up to the 2020 elections, Reade claimed in her interview that the Democratic leader attempted to sexually assault her. By then Reade was a junior staff who had been tasked with bringing Biden’s gym bag to him in his Senate office when the incident occurred.
“ I remember being pushed up against the wall. The first thought I had was ‘where is the bag?’which is an absurd thought, but that’s what I thought ,”she stated.
“ He had his hands underneath my clothes and it happened all at once, so when I tell about it , it’s hard because so many things were happening at once, it’s like my brain was trying to catch up to what was happening.”
However Joe Biden denied these allegations saying the incident didn’t happen.
“ It’s not true. I’m saying unequivocally it never, never happened,” he said.
However Reade claimed that she went further and filed for a complaint after the alleged incident but no records of it was found.
