You Have Taken Over Duties Of My Office – Eng Hillary Onek To Prime Minister

Eng Hillary Onek, Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees has accused Prime Minister, Robinah Nabbanja. Apparently, the prime minister has taken over his office and all his duties.

He emphasizes that not only is she taking over his office, but also the office of his deputy. This according to him, is unbearable.

“From the time of your appointment, I have been observing with total displeasure the fact that my role and that of my deputy as the Ministers in charge of refugees and disaster and the lead policymaker on matters of refugee and disaster management have been TOTALLY usurped by your office,” the letter reads in part.

In the letter, Hillary Onek notes that Nabbanja has been calling for meetings and even going to places where disaster has befallen.

In spite of the fact that this is the work of Hillary’s office, he says he doesn’t know about it. Eng. Hillary further accused the Prime Minister of working with some of his staff without his permission which is wrong.

Meanwhile, much as Eng Hillary Onek directed the letter to the Prime Minister, he also sent it to the President, Speaker of Parliament among others.

Onek advised Nabbanja that if she wants to take over all the duties, she should put it in writing. He says he is willing to step down if she can do everything by herself.
