According to him, they are exactly what they are accusing Museveni of even though they keep denying it.
“NUP_Ug is not just undemocratic but anti-democratic. You think Museveni is a dictator? NUP is intolerant. To those who disagree with them, they must destroy.”
NUP supporters didn’t let him get away with it. They said he can’t accuse their party of being dictatorial and yet when he wanted a party card, he was not stopped.
It should be remembered that Mwenda picked forms desiring to be the president of NUP but he apparently was placed under local council aspirants by party heads. Mwenda ranted about this on social media.
“Leaders of a party that claims to fight fraud and manipulation should lead by example & act with integrity. I informed the young NUP officials I wanted presidential candidate forms. They were well organized and gave me the right forms! Why then is NUP changing goal posts!??” Mwenda posted in 2020.
This is where he is probably focusing his accusation calling NUP intolerant. He said this while on the Frontline show on NBS. Nobert Mao added that if NUP goes to office, he will go into exile.
“I am worried that if @NUP_Ug comes to office, I will have to go to exile. I don’t know how it will play out,” Norbert mao.
