A young man named Frank Ssempa has been detained at Kampala Central Police Station for allegedly impersonating a well-known traditional healer, Sophia Namutebi, also known as Maama Fiina.
Ssempa was apprehended in the Busoga region following a targeted operation to locate his whereabouts.
He is facing accusations of creating fake social media profiles using incorrect phone numbers and deceiving individuals by pretending to be Maama Fiina.
Maama Fiina expressed distress over the tarnishing of her reputation by individuals like Ssempa, leading her to cease her charitable activities.
Plea for forgiveness
While in custody, Ssempa implored Maama Fiina to forgive him for his actions, attributing his involvement in the scheme to peer pressure during a time of joblessness.

In an effort to make amends, Maama Fiina instructed Ssempa to repay the funds he had unlawfully obtained and promised him employment at one of her enterprises.
