It should be noted that the Omusheshe singer has been in the news for the past few days. This followed his outburst towards fellow singer Azawi during a show in Mbarara.
This seemingly minor incident has sparked a tribalistic uprising on social media. Ray G even got pelted with bottles at Buganda Kingdom’s Enkuuka show in Lubiri.
According to Omega 256, the stage always has a stage manager and a DJ. And according to the video she saw, the DJ played the Quinamino singer’s song and she was the one with a microphone.
There was no business for Ray G to follow her and try to grab the mic from her. Besides, she doesn’t understand why the Western Uganda heavyweight musician is continuing attacks on Kampala artists.
Additionally, she said that the two are very big artists. Therefore, being in such a situation is unpleasant and they should by all means iron it out.
“These two are big musicians and it’s just disappointing to see them engaged in such petty situations. I personally think Ray G has taken this habit a bit far. It’s not the first time that he’s doing it and I don’t know what he’s after. Besides, according to a video I saw, Azawi’s song was playing and she had the mic. With a stage manager and a DJ, Ray G had no business going there,” she said.
Meanwhile, the two disgruntled singers ironed out their differences. They posted a photo together all smiles and the talks seem to have been facilitated by Eddy Kenzo’s Federation.
Meanwhile, Omega expressed her happiness for appearing on the famous Bebe Cool list. Her song This Year appeared on the Gagamel boss’ annual list and the Mbarara-based singer couldn’t hide her joy.
She added that even more people are visiting her YouTube to see the song because of the list. For those who are bitter about it, she said that they should heal.
