Renowned public figure Zarinah Hassan, also known as Zari, recently took to social media to address the mocking of her husband, Shakib Lutaaya’s English-speaking abilities as they gear up for the third season of Netflix’s Young, Famous & African show.
In a video that circulated online, Zari acknowledged the imperfection in Shakib’s English while highlighting his other remarkable qualities. She proudly expressed, “It’s a winning season for my husband.
Despite any language barriers, he secured a spot on Netflix, the world’s largest platform. While some focus on his English, my husband is on the path to even greater achievements.”
Transforming skeptics into supporters
Zari also addressed the shift in perception from critics to admirers, noting how those who initially ridiculed their relationship are now appreciating Shakib’s character. She reflected, “I see the change in your attitudes towards my husband.
Despite the initial mockery, he is now winning hearts. You once doubted us, but now you see his true essence.”
As the anticipation builds for the upcoming season premiering on January 17, featuring new cast members like Kefilwe Mabote and Ini Edo, Zari remains a part of the returning ensemble alongside other familiar faces in the entertainment industry.
