Dancehall singer Ziza Bafana has opened up about the prospect of working with his once good friend and singing partner Yiya Mozey. It should be noted that the two singers a few years ago used to be a duo and released a few hit songs.
While speaking to the media a couple of months ago, Yiya Mozey revealed that Bafana did him dirty and they eventually parted ways.
Bafana too was asked about this in relation to the just concluded Blu 3 Reunion concert. He said that as much as he respects Yiya Mozey, their bond wasn’t as strong as the one of Blu3.
They just had two hit songs and there is nothing for them to reunite over. However, he didn’t rule out the possibility of working together once again.
“The Blu3 bond was so strong. They spent many years together and received numerous awards. They also had several albums and could sing for over 2 hours. With all due respect to Yiya Mowzey, we just did two songs. We can work together but nothing special about it like the Blu3 girls,” he said.
Besides, the singer also talked about the current music trend which has leaned towards vulgar lyrics. Bafana is one of those singers who has been accused of churning out songs with vulgar lyrics.
Songs such as Friendly Match, Ensolo, Gyayo Ntekeyo among others have been termed as vulgar. The singer blamed media houses that always play these songs on their stations yet some of them are meant for clubs.
He added that not all of them can sing for kids. Besides, the lack of a copyright law is what has forced most young singers to follow the trend of doing vulgar songs.
