Zlatan’s 500th Career Goal Comes With Shocking Kick!

Zlatan Ibrahimovic brought up a bit of history with his 500th career goal on Saturday night, while the Houston Dynamo got a much-needed win in dominant fashion against the Portland Timber.

Ibrahimovic rang up number 500 in style , his roundhouse kick pulling a goal back for a Galaxy side that still trailed by two goals even after his brilliant strike.

The Galaxy did make a comeback, leveling matters briefly before Toronto FC netted twice in the final 15 minutes to take a 5-3 win on the night, leaving LA in need of some positive results to have any shot at a playoff place.

“I’m happy for Toronto because they will be remembered as my 500th victim,” said Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“I was close to the goal. It reminds me of a goal I scored in Ajax, it came from a cross I turned around and hit it. I was just trying to hit the goal and it went in,” he said.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has enjoyed a fruitful career playing for the most celebrated clubs in Europ’s top 5 leagues these include Malmö fc, Ajax, Juventus, inter Milan, Barcelona, Ac Milan, PSG, Manchester United and now LA galaxy.

After the match, Galaxy head coach Dominic kinnear said “it is an incredible achievement, the guy is a great goal scorer and it’s a memorable one for him for many reasons”

Asked if it was memorable for the coach, kinnear said “in about 10 years from now.”
