ZuliTums Finally Addresses The Owner Of The “Ex Twafuna” Song

Singer/songwriter, Zulitums has finally addressed the real owner of the Ex Twafuna Song which was done by Vyroota and Jowy Landa. This song was released last year in different versions.

The first one had Zulitums and Sheebah and was titled Ex. On the other hand, another version was released by Vyroota and Jowy Landa known as Ex Twafuna.

Vyroota and Jowy Landa’s version became a hit and a video was shot for it. This left people wondering who the original owner was since both songs were produced by Nessim.

According to Zulitums, the song was originally his and he featured Sheebah. It was produced in 2020 when he was still under Black Avie Records.

Initially, he had planned to release it on his album. However, he didn’t since the song did not represent his sound.

Fast forward to 2023, DJ Roja, a friend of his told him that he wanted the singer to collaborate with one of his singers. The Oluvanyuma singer agreed but Roja later told him that TNS boss, Jeff Kiwa had told him of a song Zuli did with Sheebah that was never released.

The singer told Roja to talk to Black Avie Records since the song was theirs as they had fully funded it. When all was sorted, Roja acquired the song and that’s how Vyroota and Jowy Landa did it.

According to Zuli, that’s why he never came out to make any fuss about the song. Meanwhile the singer also revealed why most singers usually exchange heated words with labels when they part ways.
