This robot is provided with a map of the airport to enable it to survey its surroundings by taking measurements of distances to diverse pre-loaded obstructions like stairs and walls using laser beams.

Spencer was programmed with the knowledge to understand human behavior and it will move people around in its way, it will count the number of people in the group its helping to check and steers up at intervals making sure everyone is still with it.

The first trial will be held on 30th-Nov -2015 and it will last for one week, there after the research team will hold the data collected and use it to streamline spencer before it begins to work officially by next year in March.
