According to the police, the culprits were training these teenage girls in unnatural sexual acts/beastiality. This included sleeping with dogs before they traffick them to the UK.
Apparently, a one Dorothy Ndagire is responsible for setting up all these. She has an NGO in Uganda called the Maya Project Uganda Chapter and uses it to traffick girls.
“The 14 girls only between the ages of 14-19 years were allegedly being trafficked by Ndagire Dorothy 27, a resident of Kawala Central Zone in Rubaga division through her NGO called ‘Maya project Uganda chapter’ with partners allegedly based in London.” The Uganda police said.
The police is calling upon parents who could have given up their children to this organization to follow up.
“Following the rescue of 14 young girls from a room at a guest house in Muyenga, Makindye division, Police calls upon parents who could have willingly or unwillingly given their children to the said Ndagire to follow up with Kabalagala Police.” Police further added.
Authorities have arrested Ndagire and charged her with human trafficking.
The police further said that this NGO is not a member of the NGO board in Uganda.
It however added that investigations are ongoing to confirm the group behind this vice and their intention.
Luke Owoyesigire the deputy police spokesperson of KMP area added that the children are currently staying with a professional children’s home as police intensifies efforts to trace their parents.
