The two confirmed cases include 27 year old and 55 year old Kenyan truck drivers who arrived in Uganda through Malaba and Busia border entry points respectively.
The victims are among the 2,071 samples tested on yesterday on Thursday. All 492 samples from the community tested negative for covid-19, according to Ministry of Health.

In the recent weeks, Ugandans who are under home confinement until 5th May 2020 have experienced shock due to an increasing number of positive cases among cargo truck drivers, mainly from Tanzania and Kenya.
The Health Ministry has so far recorded 25 cargo truck drivers who tested positive for the deadly virus in Uganda.
According to the director of health services, Dr Mwebasa Henry, a total number of 2,248 contacts to coronavirus confirmed cases have so far been registered. Out of these, 1,440 completed the mandatory 14 day follow up whereas the remaining 808 contacts are being followed by their officers,’he added.
