25 Year Old Man Kills Wife And Step Son

The residents of Kyakachwende Village, Kakumiro District still in shock after a 25-year-old man allegedly murdered his wife and his step son aged one year.

The suspect identified as Kukundakwe Joseph, a part-time labourer, allegedly cut off the throats of Tumuhirwe Rosett, 37 and Ampumpaire Brian with a heavy knife and locked them inside the house. The couple had stayed together for 45 days only.

The Police commander, Mr Waiswa Najib said after committing crime, the man decided to escape, but the residents launched a search and found him, beat him up before the Police came between.

The police took him to the nearby health centre where he died shortly after.

A 14-year-old daughter of Rosett, Kirabo Adrine said when she went to visit her mom on Saturday, she was driven away by a disgusting smell at the door of the house.

When she entered the house, she found injured bodies of her mom and young brother, I quickly called my grandmother who shouted on top of her voice attracting dozens of residents,’she said.
