4-inch iPhone 5SE Handset Will Be Named iPhone SE

We’ve got some new updates for the four-inch iPhone handset originally presumed to be called the iPhone 5SE, is actually going to be named just iPhone SE. A research note by Ming-Chi Kuo, the renowned Apple leaker and analyst, has been attained by MacRumors stating what kinds of hardware the new device has in store for us.

The analyst claims a price range between $400 and $500. Moreover the 5S would get a price cut, slashing the price into half. iPhone would also be killing future updates for the 5s.

Kuo also stated that the new 4-inch iPhone will share similar hardware specs as the current generation iPhone 6s, which includes an A9 chip and NFC for Apple Pay. The device will also feature the slightly curved 2.5D glass like the current iPhones, however it won’t come with3D touch.

The reveal date has also been delayed a bit. Apple’s keynote event that was supposed to take place on 15 March has been changed to an event in Cupertino on 21 March for the reveal of the iPhone and the new iPad as stated by Re/Code.

Entering this price range would definitely affect the smartphones in this category. A country such as India where iPhones are treated more of a luxury, a low price point would definitely attract buyers. Moreover with this 4 inch form factor, many 5s users would definitely get a phone worthy to upgrade, without compromising on the comfort of the screen size.
