The Sean Don singer earlier revealed that he had four shows to perform at during the festive period. Among these was two shows in Rakai. He went ahead to reveal that he would be singing in a wheel chair.
Alimpa however delayed to reach in the two respective shows he was slated to perform at in Rakai district.
Police said that Alimpa arrived late in Ndeeba trading centre. People had already left and this saw the Police arrest him.
For those in Kakyera, where he had another performance, he didn’t show up completely. People resorted to vandalizing equipment at the venue.
This involved burning chairs, tents and stealing other things. The police was however quick to calm the situation.
“There was chaos in Rakai district after an artist known as Ronald Alimpa showed up late for a show in Ndeeba trading center where he had a show. By the time he came, people had already left and the organizers arrested and took him to police. In Kakyera, people became chaotic burning equipment and stealing others but we quickly restored sanity to the area,” said the Rakai police spokesperson.
This is a common phenomenon amongst singers especially in the festive period. They usually get overbooked and in areas very distant from each other.
Most times, they fail to honor their contracts leaving the promoters prone to attacks from the revelers.
For Alimpa, he will live to curse 2022 as it claimed friends of his a few months back in a speeding car leaving him with fractured legs.
He then went on to fall out with his mother after his blasphemous remarks towards her. This is on top of his music career stalling and having no any other hit song apart from Sean Don.
