Journalist Andrew Mwenda In Awe Of Ugandan Prison Food, Plans To Get Jailed

Popular journalist Andrew Mwenda took to his Twitter page to heap praise on the Ugandan prison system especially their ‘quality food.’ The journalist said that the prisoners in Uganda are very lucky to have such food.

This is because there are many people in Kampala who go three days without a meal.

The Independent Magazine CEO went ahead to praise the Uganda Prisons Director Dr Johnson Byabashaija for making Ugandan prisons the best in Africa.

“Yesterday I visited Kitalya prison and decided to eat the prisoners’ lunch. I was impressed by the quality of their food. Thank you to @jbyabs and team for making our prisons the best in Africa.

These prisoners are really lucky to be feasting on such food because there are people in Kampala who go three days minus having any food. I think I should come here and get myself free food and accommodation,” Andrew Mwenda said.

Mwenda’s followers however told him  he was busy chewing administrators food which is okay.

But the inmates who he should have recorded a video with eat worse food.

“That’s not what the guys behind bars eat. You even had to add some salt in a special one cooked for the prison staff and guests like you. The best way to test the real food and conditions of a prison is to get arrested and spend there some days.”

The prison tales are different from each person in regards to the living conditions.

A majority of prison facilities in the country in dire conditions.
