Andrew Ojok Oulanyah Seeks To Represent Omoro County In Parliament

The late Speaker Jacob Oulanyah’s elder son, Andrew Ojok Oulanyah has shown interest to replace his dad as Omoro County MP. Reports show that top NRM officials and relatives of the late speaker have agreed to support Andrew Ojok as the flag bearer for the party.

Ojok currently works as a senior IT specialist with the National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U). NITA-U is an autonomous statutory body the ICT ministry established under the NITA-U Act 2009.

It runs with a purpose of coordinating and regulating Information Technology services in Uganda. The Ministry of ICT and National Guidance is the body that generally supervises this agency.

“He would ably take up his father’s mantle and further his legacy for the good of the people of Omoro county, Acholi Sub-region, and Uganda as a whole!” an NRM official said.

Looking at his resume, Andrew Ojok Oulanyah is an IT Professional holding more than six years of working experience.

He has worked in enterprise I.T systems design, development, and implementation with diverse technical teams and clients both in the private and public sectors.

Personally, he looks forward to building skills and knowledge in business and technology. He feels that accomplishing this will enable him to drive business and harness human resource skills.

Through that, he hopes to become a trusted advisor. Especially to business partners, customers, and government as they go through their digital transformation journeys.
