Arua Hill SC Crisis: Mujib Kasule Says 8 Players Should Be Rewarded By League

Former Uganda Cranes international Mujib Kasule has said that the Star Times Uganda Premier League should reward 8 Arua Hill SC players at the end-of-the-season gala.

According to Mujib, these players made sure that football won that day. And the streets will never forget them. Besides sometimes, one plays for honor and others are secondary.

“These 8 Arua hill FC players should be rewarded at the startimes premier league awards dinner at the end of the season. They made sure that football won on the day. Sometimes we play for honor. Thank you guys and football will not forget you.”

It should be noted that social media and Ugandans were this week thrown into shock. This is after just 8 Arua Hill SC players turned up for the league clash against Kitara FC. Unfortunately for them, Kitara won the game 7-1.

The team’s coach Livingston Mbabazi was also not present in the technical area. According to sources, the club’s players and staff have gone months without pay. Therefore, they decided to take issues into their own hands as they couldn’t wait any longer.

Apparently, this is not the first time such scenarios are happening in the top flight of Ugandan football. This has even seen proposals to limit the participating teams to just 10 or even 8.

This would make sure that the participating teams are able to maintain their teams covering all the expenses needed.
