Apparently, this date had already become a source of controversy especially on social media. This is because another singer and a surprising one, Ray G had announced his own concert in Kampala.
In a surprise move, the Mbarara-based singer announced that his “Ray G Live In Concert Twena HAMWE” show will go down on the 10th of May at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
This left many people questioning the Forever singer’s choice of the venue since it seems to be so big. Additionally, his profile is not popular in Kampala owing to the fact that he’s based predominantly in Western Uganda.
His ardent fans have however vowed to support him in plenty. Well, the Kampala Boys, B2C seem like they have lowered the competition for Ray G after pulling down their concert. Ray G will now have the day to himself unless another artist hijacks the day.
B2C last year saw themselves clashing with legendary singer, Juliana Kanyomozi. The Wantama singers had a concert on the same day as the Nabikoowa singer. However, both singers sold out their concerts as the venues and class of people was very different.
It’s not clear if they removed their concert to support Ray G and as a show of solidarity. Or if it was for some other unclear circumstances.
