Some weeks ago, the “Nsilikamu“ Hit maker scooped $400,000 to help in eliminating TB from the country, something that he’s engaging in to ensure that Ugandans are aware of that deadly disease. The event will be taking place at the new taxi park near Kiseka market.
The reason why he chose Taxi park was because it’s an easy access to reach more thousands of people at once since it’s a meeting point for all those heading to different parts of the country.
“Today, with my Amber Heart Foundation team, i will be engaging in a TB screening exercise at the new Taxi park near Kiseka market. This screening exercise will be carried out for two days to ensure that we reach as many TB missing people as possible. We chose the new taxi park because it brings together thousands of people travelling to and from all parts of the country yet in congested spaces within taxis and buses is where TB is spread through the air we breath and any time you are travelling with an infected person and they cough, you will likely catch this virus. TB however is curable and the treatment is free in all government hospitals in UGANDA. Thank you Stop TB partnership, Ministry of Health and Defeat TB for the support.” Bebe Cool posted.
