Musician Big Size Bebe Cool has come out to comfort his son Alpha Thierry Ssali telling him his time will soon come to represent his country. This is after the Uganda Hippos qualified for the last 8 in the ongoing U20 AFCON tournament in Egypt.

The Gagamel boss took to his Twitter to congratulate the Hippos upon earning their qualification.

Bebe Cool then appealed to his son to keep his head up. This is because its already a privilege to be chosen to represent ones country among the many talented teenagers out there.

“Congs Hippos on qualifying to the next stage in the U20 #AFCON. Hard luck my son Alpha Thierry. Your time will come.

Thank Allah among the many young talents in #UG, you are chosen to represent. Keep your head high, keep working hard. There is always a light at the end of every tunnel,” said Bebe Cool.

Uganda Hippos played 3 games in the group stages and racked up 5 points.

They picked 2-1 win against Central African Republic and a 2-2 draw against Congo Brazzaville. They also drew 0-0 against South Sudan.

Uganda’s major competitors also picked up the same points with similar stats. It was just the toss of a coin that decided which team ended up on top and Uganda won the duel. The team will now face Nigeria in the quarterfinals.

It should be recalled that the last 4 in this competition will represent Africa in the U20 World Cup in Indonesia between May-June. This is the goal of the Hippps who finished the previous tournament as runners up after losing 2-0 to Ghana.

Meanwhile Alpha who plays for local club Proline is yet to make an appearance at the tournament.
