Nambooze who told media from where she is in India that the painful back is now relieved and she can now turn in bed normally and comfortably.

I feel better than before, the operation they carried out on me was indeed successful as am now able to turn comfortably, however, I still need more time to recover ‘’Nambooze said.

She still needs someone to support her to be able to walk and that’s why she uses a wheel-chair enclosed within bounds.

Last week on Thursday, Betty Nambooze under-went a five hour Laparoscopic Lumber Spine surgery.

The surgery carried-out by accessing the backbone via a small hole pushed in the stomach and pipe is stretched through it with a support of a visual image recorder.

The surgeons at the Spine Care Centre recommended the above surgery in order to avoid damaging her nerves, because if they had put additional cut in the main scar, it would be too risky.

The police arrested Betty Nambooze last month following the comments she reportedly made regarding late Abiriga Ibrahim. While in a police cell, her health condition worsened and she was rushed to Kiruddu hospital before being forwarded to India for further treatment.
