Bishop Dan Zoreka Ordains Priests And Deacons

Bishop Dan Zoreka of Kinkizi Diocese yesterday ordained 2 Deacons and Commissioned 6 Priests. The colorful ceremony took place at St Andrew’s Church of Uganda Kihihi Archdeaconry.

As he officiated the function, Bishop Dan Zoreka reminded the ordained why they have decided to join the priesthood. He told them they have been called to serve and that they should follow church teachings so as to be true servants of the Lord.

Venerable Reverend Milton Nkurunungi was the main preacher at the ceremony and is the Archdeacon of Kikungiri CoU in Kabale. He assured the congregation that their past doesn’t matter if they are to be called to serve.

The ordained include the following; Kenneth Twikirize from Kamahe CoU, Kazinga Parish and Loyce Ampumuza from Omuburama in Rugyeyo Parish. More still, Rev Mwemire Dickson from St Andrew’s Kihihi CoU, Rev Happy Christmas from Kayungwe CoU, Rev Akampurira Lowland from St Peter’s Cathedral Nyakatare among others.

Kanungu District woman MP is one of the guests that were present at the ceremony. She called for reconciliation among Christians. She also encouraged them to work hard to improve their welfare.

The chief guest, Hon James Ruggi Kaberuka, the Kinkizi West Member of Parliament, commended the church for its good work. He also reminded Christians to put their children through school since they are the future’s saviors.

Christians from the Archdeaconry of Binza in the Democratic Republic of Congo attended the function. They have a working relationship with the Diocese of Kinkizi.
