Bobi Wine Congratulates Juliet Chekwel After Winning Zurich Marathon

Celebrated female marathoner Juliet Chekwel is a hard working lady and her hope is that  great athletes will look at going professional, and make real money out of their success. Remember Stephen Kiprotich was probably treated better than most Ugandan athletes and he has made his mark in international races which earns him about US$50,000 (sh185m) for every marathon he runs.

However besides that, the Kyadondo East MP, Bobi Wine is known for appreciating whoever contributes on promoting Uganda. Therefore,while on social media, Bobi congratulated Juliet Chekwel for representing Uganda in long distance lap. She won the Zurich Marathon and made history.

“Congratulations Juliet Chekwel, Uganda’s long-distance runner, for winning the Zurich Marathon and setting a new national record. Very proud of you, and wishing you an even more outstanding career moving forward. When a woman excels the nation excels!” Bobi Wine posted.

In Uganda today, athletes are so far the only ones who represent the country Internationally on the faster rate.
