Mubarak Munyagwa; FDC Has To Know They Are No Longer Leaders Of Opposition

Bobi Wine Is Overrated – Mubarak Munyagwa

The former Kawempe South MP Mubarak Munyagwa has come out to say that NUP principal, Bobi Wine, is just an overrated politician.

While appearing on the NBS Eagle, the former MP said that it was a fantasy for the singer-turned-politician to think that he could overwhelm the NRM.

This is especially in regard to the recent by-election in Omoro County. Munyagwa who belongs to the FDC said that Bobi Wine’s influence is only in Buganda and Jinja.

He should therefore know where his influence stops. NUP has to know where it’s strong and where it’s weak. It, therefore, needs to communicate with FDC and specialize where each party is stronger.

According to Munyagwa, NUP’S candidate, Toolit confused the voters by contesting on the NUP ticket.

This is because he had previously contested and won on the FDC ticket twice. This confusion, therefore, gave NRM an advantage to sweep the election.

“Hon. Bobi Wine is overrated. Bobi Wine is famous in Buganda and Jinja. NUP has to know where it is strong, and it shouldn’t antagonize where FDC is strong. NUP needs to communicate with FDC. Toolit has won on the FDC ticket two times. This time around, he confused the voters and gave NRM an advantage. Bobi Wine is overrated to think that he can overwhelm NRM,” Munyagwa said.

He further added that he warned Bobi Wine about the MPs he brought to Parliament. Most of these were only using the former Kyadondo east legislator to get to Parliament.

This is because he helped them to cut the costs of musicians during campaigns.

“I told Bobi Wine that these MPs he trusts only wanted him because he is a musician. His appearance at their rallies helped them cut costs of paying musicians,” Munyagwa added.

Munyagwa further castigated NUP and its legislators who are the leading Opposition party now. He said that commodity prices have escalated. And MPs from Kampala and Wakiso who should be leading the charge to salvage the ordinary citizens are quiet. That had apparently never been the style of FDC.

NRM’s mouthpiece, Rogers Mulindwa, who was also in studio compared Bobi Wine to electricity. He said that just as electricity comes and goes and so is NUP.

Mulindwa said that Bobi Wine’s electricity only stops in Buganda and while in Omoro, the power left and he switched to solar.
