Politician and singer Bobi Wine has indicated that he’s set to help singer Fik Gaza following his arrest in Saudi Arabia. News has been making rounds on social media for the past two days about the Banana singer being detained in the Middle East.
It’s said that the Unruly Gaza singer had a concert in Saudi Arabia. However, no sooner had he stepped into the country than he got detained. Details about his arrest are still scanty. But one thing that is confirmed is that he’s currently behind bars.
Bobi Wine has now said that his teams both in the country and in Saudi are trying to establish the facts behind the arrest.
They are also working swiftly to assist the singer and make sure he’s released. The Kyarenga singer also pointed out the various arrests that have faced numerous African artists in these countries.
“I’ve learnt of the detention of this brother and artist Fik Gaza in Saudi Arabia. Something that has happened to so many Africans and many Ugandan artists in the past. Although details are still scanty, our teams both here and in Saudi Arabia are trying to establish the facts so that we collectively assist him out of this situation,” he said.
It should be noted that recently, dancehall singer Beenie Gunter was arrested in Dubai. This was after he got embroiled in a fight. Other musicians not only from Uganda have faced brutal treatment in these countries
A day ago singer Ykee Benda cautioned Ugandan artists against going to perform in these countries. He also blamed promoters in these countries as the ones who usually lead to the arrest of these musicians.
