Hon. Kyagulanyi was silent on the reason why he sent them away towards the presidential elections.
In a comment that he later posted on his social media platforms, Kyagulanyi said that he got ‘credible’ information that the regime had hatched a plan to kidnap his children in order to coerce him into subjugation.
‘’For most of this year, they (the children) have largely lived as prisoners; very rarely leaving home. As we near the election, I received credible information from sources within the systems of plans by the regime to cause physical harm to them,’’ Kyagulanyi said.
He also said the current regime has made it their major aim to attack him. If they don’t, they attack those close to him to demoralize him. He said there is nothing president Museveni is not ready to do in order to stay in power. Even if it is against the will of Ugandans.
He responded to those questioning his advances to protect his family by saying they should be ashamed of themselves. This is because, in a free democracy, no one should have to live in fear of challenging the incumbent.
