Bobi Wine’s State Of The Nation Address Was All About Chapatis- Hon David Kabanda

Kasambya County MP Hon David Kabanda has come out to mock Bobi Wine’s state of the nation address. This was delivered by Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu before President Museveni delivered his.

Kabanda thinks there was nothing fundamental to take from Bobi Wine’s ‘SONA’ as it was full of chapati talk. Kabanda added that yesterday was full of competition for the State of the Nation addresses.

This is because the President had his and Bobi Wine had another on the same day. After listening to Bobi’s, NUP MPs quickly rushed to their small rooms to hear Museveni’s.

“The opposition had a State of the National Address by their leader, and it was about chapatis. Today, there was a competition for the State of the National Address. After the NUP MPs listened to their leader’s address, they rushed to their small rooms to listen to the President,” said MP Kabanda.

While delivering his address about the nation’s affairs, the singer/politician concentrated on chapati and rolexes. This left many people wondering whether the NUP principal thinks that it’s actually a countrywide staple food.

“The ghetto people in our cities towns and trading centres survive mainly on chapati which also makes kikomando and Rolex. Forget this business of Museveni telling us to eat cassava. Cassava or cassava flour cannot make chapati or kikomando or even rolex. That only shows how he’s disconnected from the reality of the common citizens,” Bobi Wine said.

Many in the comment section said that this was mainly for urban dwellers and a luxury for those upcountry. They also accused Bobi Wine of detachment from reality which he accuses Museveni of.

Meanwhile, prices of commodities have kept on the rise with each passing day. Fuel has become the most consistent in increasing which has an overall effect on the price of other commodities.
