BREAKING: Businessman Aponye Perishes In Car Accident

Unfortunate news coming in indicates that popular city businessman Apollo Nyegamehe also know as Aponye, has perished in a car accident.

It is said that the businessman died in a road accident in Itojo along the Kabale-Mbarara Highway. This accident happened on the 6th of July 2023.

Social media users have started sharing their condolences to the fallen business mogul. Former Police AIGP Asan Kasingye said he was left devastated. This is because the multi billionaire was the first client of his security company.

“My friend, my first Tayari Security client at both factory & residence. I can’t believe you are gone. You called me your son & always called me to discuss the way I serve you. I am sad & blue. Good bye my dad. RIP.”

Police meanwhile are still investigating the cause of the accident. The businessman has been the owner of several renowned businesses such as Aponye Mall which houses Mega Standard Supermarket in Kampala.

He has also been into manufacturing and producing among other types of business. Nyegahame has also been into politics. Apparently he’s been serving as the NRM chairperson of Rukiga district.

Furthermore he was in the spotlight for allegedly supplying substandard food, deemed to be unfit for human consumption to the government. This was in 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
