Breaking: Jerome Mugenyi Freed Days After Being Caught In Another Man’s Bedroom

Jerome Mugenyi, a notorious man recently caught with another man’s wife has finally walked out of jail a few days after his arrest. Apparently, the man identified as Birungi Michael caught Jerome in his bedroom, tied and eventually handed him over to the police.

Birungi Michael AKA Taata Bella registered a case on the 20th-Dec-2020 of Criminal Trespass and Theft(UGX5Million) against Jerome at Nyamitanga Police Station – CRR 38/2020.

Birungi Michael, 43 is an accountant and a resident of Kyera Cell Birere sub county in Isingiro district. He found Jerome Mugenyi, 37, a resident of Kasusu Fort Portal in his matrimonial bed naked. The angry Birungi had in his hand a spear but was able to restrain himself from stabbing Jerome.

Birungi alleges that Jerome sleeps with his wife Musiimenta Irene, a teacher at Ntare school Mbarara. Jerome however, also claims that Irene is a cousin sister, not his lover as Taata Bella alleges.

According to Irene, she filed for divorce in the courts of law months ago. She is no longer living with Michael as husband and wife and are just raising their two children. She also added that they have not been together for the last six months.

The allegations of theft of UGX5 million and land agreement papers were false as police found the land agreement papers in the house.

What authorities say

Rwizi region police spokesperson, ASP Samson Kasasira has confirmed that after the involvement of both families yesterday 22/12/2020, the complainant lost interest in the case. He wrote an additional statement and closed the case.

The police hence released the suspects (Jerome, Irene, and another male who has been a guard and casual worker at Michael’s home.

The video of Jerome in Taata Bella’s house has been trending in the Ugandan social media spheres for days.
